About us:
Saucy Mamas started with a question: why does eating well so often feel like giving something up?Why should someone who is gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, protein-focused, managing an illness, feeding a family with different needs, or simply trying to feel better after they eat have to settle for food that feels like a compromise?I spent years studying nutrition, but I also love pizza. I never believed those two things had to be in conflict. The problem wasn’t pizza. It was how often the category asked people to choose between flavor and ingredients, indulgence and intention, what they wanted and what worked for their body.So I built Saucy Mamas differently. We slow-ferment our dough. We cook with olive and avocado oils instead of seed oils. We make all our sauces in-house, no refined sugar or artificial colors. We build gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free and protein-forward options into the menu from the beginning, not as an afterthought. And we do all of that without losing sight of the reason people go out to eat in the first place: because food should be delicious. The goal was never to create “healthy pizza.” The goal was to create a place where more people could sit at the same table, order what they actually wanted, and feel good about the choice they made. The food brings people through the door. The feeling that there’s a place for them is what keeps bringing them back.
